Customer Service in M land!

I’m a Time customer, a while back I made a request for hunting lines regrouping. Here what I got!!

1st Phone Conversation

Sales Person : Ok, I will investigate your account and call you back.

1 week later : No Return call. Fine, I call them again.

Sales Person : I’m kinda busy this few days, I get back to you again.

2 week later : Again No Return call. OKAY. I call his handphone no reply, ok tried few times finally got through.

Sales Person : Sir, I’m currently praying. I call you back ok?

Fine, my mistake, I called on Friday. So I guess I have wait. I think the account manager are too busy, fine I look for another one.

Me : Time, please get me another account manager, seems like the current one, don’t want my business!!

Time : Sir, your account manager is not in and there are no other account manager available at the moment.

Me : Okey, I want to talk his BOSS. Can you put me through.

Sales Boss: Sir, how can I help you.

Me : Get me another account manager, the current one ignore my call.

Sales Boss: I’m sorry, I let me check with him, I promise you I’ll get him to call you before end of the day.

Me : Okay than..

Guess what, no one called me. Fine I call them again the next day.

Me : Mr. XXX your staff did not call me as you promised.

Sales Boss: Oh really gosh, I call him make sure this is done right away. I’m sorry.

Finally the sales person called, and after more than 4 week, things start moving, meaning starting. Talk about frustration . I guess I have to attend ‘Managing your Supplier for dummies’. You can check out their ‘VALUE ADDED SERVICE’ at http://www.time.com.my/

I was surfin TM.NET, the most popular ISP in Malaysia for sales contacts information. Guess what page down!! It has beenĀ  like that for almost 2 week. I guess they are too busy celebrating 50 independent anniversary. No one bothers to check, no one reply complain email too.

Remote for karaoke…

To make it short, it started when a friend of mine wanted to make a home made karaoke machine. Basically we need few things, a remote control, a remote control sensor for PC and some programming API to work with.

I get most of the information from www.lirc.org. I decided to go with serial port receiver, the block diagram look simple.
